Advanced Simulation Lab - TEC Health Dec. 6, 2024
This advanced simulation course is designed for experienced emergency room physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing professionals, aiming to enhance critical procedural skills, decision-making, and teamwork in high-pressure clinical environments. Participants will engage in realistic, hands-on scenarios that mimic the complexities of an emergency room, allowing them to refine their technical abilities while working collaboratively to improve patient outcomes. By combining state-of-the-art simulation technology with structured debriefing sessions, the course fosters the development of essential clinical judgment, leadership, and effective communication required for optimal team performance under stress.

Physicians, NP, PA and RNs
Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate procedural skills relevant to specific emergency scenarios in Emergency Medicine.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage critical patient cases effectively in a low-resource, low-volume emergency department setting.
- Enhance interdisciplinary collaboration between physicians, APPs, and nurses during high-stress emergency situations to improve patient outcomes.
- Apply evidence-based emergency procedures for critical care management, such as intubation and chest tube insertion, under resource-limited conditions.
