Cardiopulmonary Workshop – Post-Course Workshop 2018

The goal of the cardiopulmonary workshop is to rapidly assess patients with chest pain or dyspnea using ultrasound. The primary focus of this workshop will be learning to adequately image the heart, lungs, thoracic space, and inferior vena cava (IVC).

1. Learn the four basic views of the heart, lungs, and IVC
2. Review clips with pathology
3. Identify an algorithm to evaluating the patient with chest pain or dyspnea
